Project/Unit description/Expedition: Once upon a time there were two artists who were stranded on a far away island and had to wait a whole week until someone came to rescue them. Because these two artists did not know each other they introduced themselves. One artist came up with an idea; he told the other artist that they should draw something that let the other person know who they were; what they like to do for fun, what their favorite wild animal is, if they play an instrument, what their family looks like, anything about their lives that the other person couldn’t guess just by looking at them. They used all the materials that were available to them and each person took their time to draw their ideas. Once they were done, they each took turns to show the other person who they were and told a story about themselves.
